The Surf Villa is a separate free-standing house in the front of the property. The beautiful front yard is complete with chair swings, grass, beautiful flowers, a sitting area with a fire pit, and a large beautiful sun canopy. This is our favorite spot to sit with our morning coffee or hang out in the afternoon with a glass of wine, while the fire warms our toes. It’s not uncommon to break out the s’mores ingredients, as the neighbors walk by to chat with us as they make their way down to the bluff to enjoy the sunset. Directly behind is a covered patio with a large dining table and benches with cute twinkling market lights – to make your al fresco dining dreams come true.
SIDENOTE: Sunset is a truly magical time in Corona del Mar. You will see scores of families and couples making their way to the bluff, to picnic and visit with friends and neighbors. There can be 50-150 people there on any given night during sunset. Sometimes people set up small pillow and picnic tables with charcuterie, and sometimes there’s something more formal like a marriage proposal, you never know what the night will hold. It’s quite a sight to see!
